Academic Journal Editing

As of January 1, 2024, Tess Neal is the Editor-in-Chief of the American Psychological Association's journal Psychology, Public Policy and Law. She worked with outgoing Editor Michael Lamb on his editorial team for 3 years as an associate editor at the journal before being appointed by APA to become the new editor.

The associate editors (selected through an open application process) are Tina Zottoli, Jason Chin, Kara Moore, ​Kat Albrect (2024), and Theresa Silva (2025).

Prior to becoming editor of PPP&L, Tess Neal served as an associate editor with the Journal of Personality Assessment for five years.

As part of that work, she co-edited a special issue of the journal on Personality Assessments in Legal Contexts. The entire issue is published as open-access (all the papers are freely available).
